Together we Can and advocate to be Devoted Citizens
I joined the Emperors team because it is a key player in driving change within the hospitality industry. Together, we chose to give back to Tembisa High School, which transitioned from a regular school to a hotel school. We decided to support the school by providing stoves, warmers, fridges, chef uniforms for 80 learners, and a Switzerland bursary to the top student, Neo.
Our CEO, Clive Taverner, led us, along with the HR team and staff from various departments at Emperors Palace. The event took place at Tembisa High, where the principal, teachers, and students welcomed us with great professionalism.

Since Mrs. Bold South Africa’s mission is to encourage engagement with the community, I felt it was essential to join this team and contribute to those in need. My love for community service has been a part of me since childhood, and being a finalist in Mrs. Bold SA has allowed me to live this dream.
The lesson I’ve learned is: “Among its many benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver, and no one has ever become poor from giving.”
In conclusion, as Mandela Day approaches, focus less on politics and more on opening your heart to those who are less fortunate. You have nothing to lose; in due season, you will reap the rewards of your generosity.
